The discussion focused on the strong partnerships in business, defence and education. Climate change and renewable energy also remain a crucial topic, with opportunities arising from recent US initiatives to promote clean energy, complementary to Western Australia’s plentiful deposits of rare earths. The Consul General also indicated her interest in efforts to promote indigenous issues and welcomed the potential for collaboration in this important area.
