Thanking our multicultural community leaders

The Governor and Mrs Dawson hosted a reception with the Office of Multicultural Interests to thank community leaders from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds for their support through the COVID pandemic.

In his speech, the Governor thanked the groups for their hard work and commitment to keeping the community safe. Their collective efforts saw the translation of important health messages through in-language messages and videos distributed at COVID clinics and at major events and festivals.

The Office of Multicultural Interests provides information, advice, funding, training and support to communities and community organisations to help build strong communities that maintain and share their diverse cultures and participate actively in all aspects of Western Australian life.
