Court Mourning Day 5: Constitutional Duties Cannot Rest September 13, 2022 By Ashayla Dawn Court Mourning Mourners continued to visit the Lady Kyle Garden and the Ballroom to lay tributes to the Queen and write in the Condolence Book. Judge of appeal The Governor signs the appointment paperwork. Whilst all other events have been cancelled due to the mourning of our late Queen, the Governor must continue with his constitutional duties. Today, those duties included the swearing-in of the Honourable Justice Stephen David Hall as a Judge of appeal of the Supreme Court of Western Australia; and Supplementary Presidents of the State Administrative Tribunal.
