Welcoming Home WA’s Golden Athletes

Today, the Governor and Mrs Dawson hosted a special event for Western Australian competitors. In total, Australia walked away with 178 medals – 67 gold, 57 silver and 54 bronze – eclipsing the host nation of the UK.

Members of the Commonwealth team were awarded the Australian Sports Medal before being invited out onto the Ballroom Terrace for a celebration.
