The Rose Society of Western Australia Inc

The first roses of the season are always the largest. Yesterday, true rose enthusiasts took the opportunity to explore our collection in the Government House Garden.

Members of The Rose Society of Western Australia Inc, a group founded to encourage, improve, foster and extend the cultivation of the Rose, and to develop an appreciation, spent some time admiring our Jubilee Garden and quizzing the Gardeners on the care routine of our stunning rose display.

Members of the Society conduct pruning demonstrations in July, which are held at various locations in the suburbs, as well as a Rose Show twice yearly. The question was posed as to why Government House doesn’t enter the annual competition, as members would be thrilled to compete against the House.
