The Governor officially opens the World of Food Festival 2022. The Governor and Mrs Dawson opened up the Gardens for the Consular Corps of WA who organised a day of international food and cultural performances, bringing together the many representatives of the approximately 60 Consulates that are based here in Perth. Mauritian dancers perform on stage. The Festival is an annual event celebrating WA’s cultural connections through food, organised by the Consular Corps of WA. The event showcases the culinary delights of many of the nations represented by the local Consulates in Perth. The free event provided the opportunity for the people of Perth to celebrate WA’s multiculturalism, with over 25 countries represented and a variety of cultural performances for guests to enjoy.
