Special ExCo and Kosovo

The Governor welcomed Her Excellency Ms Jetmira Berdynaj Shala, Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo, to Government House.

Recently appointed, Her Excellency was keen to discuss her priorities during her term – including developing meaningful connections with Western Australia. Kosovo has strong mining routes and the Ambassador indicated the potential benefits for students to study in WA.

Admiring the various artworks around the House, the Ambassador mentioned that culture and arts have long been seen as luxuries in her homeland – something she aims to change in the future.
