WA’s Australian of the Year Professor Samar Aoun, Senior Australian of the Year Theresa Kwok, Young Australian of the Year Peter Bol and Local Hero Jimmy Murphy were all in attendance today accompanied by guests, as well as Auspire WA Chair Bradley Woods and CEO Morgen Lewis. As Patron of Auspire the Governor thanked the recipients for their incredible contributions to the WA community and beyond, and wished all four the very best of luck for when they head to Canberra in January for the Australian of the Year Awards. Hosted by Chinese Consul General Mr Long Dingbin, the Banquet dinner included musical performances, and video presentations to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Commonwealth of Australia on December 21, 1972.
