Christmas reception for the Governor’s Patronages

What a treat it was to bring together representatives from the Governor’s 93 patronages at an early evening event at Government House.

The forecourt came alive with guests from across all sectors of the community from health and well being; sport; arts and culture; children and youth; defence and veteran groups, charities; environment; justice; seniors; heritage; leadership; voluntary service; animal welfare and more.

The gathering was a chance for the Governor and Mrs Dawson to get to know the cross section of organisations that the Governor has agreed to be Patron, as a well as a chance for the various patronages to get to know each other.

The Governor welcomed guests and spoke of his excitement at working with them over coming months.
