Thanking Guide Dog volunteers, and celebrating the work of the Clontarf Foundation

Guide dogs Kim, Stanley, Sienna and Greg stole the show at Government House today as the Governor and Mrs Dawson hosted a reception to thank the many volunteers who make the work of Guide Dogs WA possible.

Kim is a puppy in training, Stanley a guide dog in training, Sienna a brood dog who is part of the Guide Dogs new breeding program, while Greg spends his days as a Guide Dog Ambassador.

As Patron of Guide Dogs WA the Governor presented certificates of recognition for volunteer long service to Mr Greg Hill and Ms Lorraine Thurloe.

Learning more about the Clontarf Foundation

The Governor paid a visit to the Clontarf Foundation to learn more about their work in supporting young men right across Australia to reach their goals.

The Foundation works to improve the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem and employment prospect of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and what an honour it was to meet some of their alumni who continue to achieve great success, and continue to give back.
