The Governor presides over the first Executive Council for 2023. Executive Council 2023 January 10, 2023 By Carole Kerr The Governor presided over the first Executive Council Meeting for 2023 at Government House this morning. He was joined by the Hon Simone McGurk MLA Minister for Water; Training; Youth, and the Hon Reece Whitby MLA Minister for Environment; Climate Action; Racing and Gaming. Also in attendance was Clerk of the Executive Council Mr Brendan D’Sa. Executive Council is chaired by the Governor and comprises all WA Government Cabinet Ministers, who attend on a rotational basis. The Council meets regularly to progress matters of government business. Presiding over Executive Council is one of the key constitutional roles of the WA Governor.
