Participants have an opportunity to learn from influential and prominent leaders, travel on field trips, undertake professional development retreats and receive coaching. Leadership WA was established in 2004, and over 1,000 Western Australians have participated in their leadership programs.

In his address, the Governor encouraged participants to take up the opportunity to apply their new skills while in their current roles.

“When I was leading and coordinating the State of Emergency, I was still the Commissioner and we had the everyday rigours of policing,” the Governor said.
