Governor to attend an audience with His Majesty King Charles III

As His Majesty’s vice-regal representative in Western Australia, the Governor and Mrs Dawson have travelled to the United Kingdom for an audience with His Majesty King Charles III.

The official visit will include a series of engagements with government and organisational leaders throughout the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland and Ireland to strengthen diplomatic relationships and advocate for trade and investment with Western Australia.

International engagement on behalf of Western Australia is a key function of the Governor’s role. As part of his official duties, the Governor, supported by Mrs Dawson, works both at home and abroad to advance the State’s economic, social and cultural interests with overseas partners.

The Lieutenant Governor and deputy of the Governor will fulfil constitutional requirements and administer the State during this time.
