Sharing ideas with the Ambassador of Ecuador March 30, 2023 By Adam Brouwer The Ambassador of Ecuador, His Excellency Mr Arturo Cabrera-Hidalgo, met with the Governor this morning while on an official visit to Perth.Discussions focused on how Western Australia and Ecuador could share ideas, expertise and work together in the mining sector, in education, and law enforcement.Both the Ambassador and Governor have experience in international intelligence and crime fighting.More broadly, the Ambassador described Australia and Ecuador as like-minded countries that had untapped potential to forge stronger ties to benefit both countries. The Ambassador of Ecuador, His Excellency Mr Arturo Cabrera-Hidalgo provided the Governor with a gift of a crafted hummingbird – Ecuador being home to the most hummingbird species in the world.
