A visit by the Latvian Ambassador and Executive Council

The Governor and Mrs Dawson met with the Ambassador of Latvia, His Excellency Margers Krams and his wife Sandra Krama.

The Ambassador is the first posted to the Southern Hemisphere from Latvia, commencing his posting in Canberra in October 2021.

In his first official visit to Western Australia, the conversation covered energy issues, education exchanges, space technology and tourism.

As well as their official duties, the Ambassador and his wife will spend some private time holidaying in Western Australia, travelling as far north as Exmouth.

Executive Council

The Governor presided over a meeting of Executive Council.  The Honourable Reece Whitby MLA, Minister for Environment; Climate Action; Racing and Gaming, and the Honourable David Templeman MLA, Minister for Culture and the Arts; Sport and Recreation; International Education; Heritage attended.

Honourable Ministers enjoyed viewing the recently installed commemorative poppy display on the Government House lawns.
