Recognising the dedicated staff and volunteers at St John WA April 1, 2023 By James Pratt 78 dedicated St John WA staff and volunteers were recognised at the annual Investiture of the Western Australian Commandery of the Order of St John today. The Governor was invested in early 2023 as Knight Commander of the Order of St John Commandery WA.The annual Investiture ceremony is a key part of the Knight Commander’s role, an occasion when exceptional service to St John is recognised by admitting members to, or promoting them within the Order. The Western Australian community greatly benefits from the contributions made by St John staff and volunteers, particularly in our remote and regional areas where ambulance and other emergency services would otherwise be hundreds of kilometres away. The collective achievements of those honoured at the ceremony have helped to build community resilience and most importantly save lives.
