The Governor and Mrs Dawson with Emma Telfer, the 2023 winner of the WA State Jigsaw Puzzle Competition WA State Jigsaw Puzzle Competition April 15, 2023 By James Pratt The Governor and Mrs Dawson enjoyed attending the WA State Jigsaw Puzzle Competition at the Government House Ballroom. Emma Telfer was the winner of the individual division for the second year in a row. The Governor spoke at the conclusion of the competition, thanking all the volunteers, supporters, sponsors and congratulating winners. The competition is an inclusive and family friendly event, with many in the team division dressing in costumes. Many volunteers helped to make the day a success, including members of the Country Women’s Association (CWA) who provided afternoon tea and refreshments in the Supper Room. In his address, the Governor highlighted the importance of community access to Government House. This is the first time the WA State Jigsaw Puzzle Competition has been held at the Ballroom, the Governor and Mrs Dawson are keen to see the Ballroom used for a variety of community and patronage events.
