Combatting increased demand at Foodbank

Chief Executive Officer of Foodbank WA, Kate O’Hara stopped in at Government House to discuss the increasing demand for food relief that they’ve been experiencing and their plans to tackle the issue.

Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief organisation, working with frontline charities to feed thousands of vulnerable Western Australians.

Swearing In Supreme Court Justice Vandongen to join Court of Appeal

Having extensive experience conducting trials and participating in appeals in the WA Court of Appeal and the High Court of Australia, Supreme Court judge the Hon. Justice Vandongen was today appointed at Government House as a judge of the Court of Appeal.

Justice Vandongen’s appointment takes effect on 22 May 2023 following the Hon. Justice Graeme Murphy’s retirement.
