The Governor officiated at the School Curriculum and Standards Authority Awards for 2019 in the Government House Ballroom.

About the event

This is an annual ceremony to present exhibitions and awards to approximately 90 high achieving Year 12 students from the 2019 cohort of 4082 students, who received a total of 4142 exhibitions and awards.

As well as VIPs, attendees include members of the Board of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority, event sponsors, Vice-Chancellors of each of the universities, head of the training authorities, heads of system/sectors in education, school principals and their guests, award recipients and members of recipients’ families.

About the Awards

Exhibitions and awards are granted by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority to senior secondary students studying the School Curriculum and Standards Authority courses and vocational education and training (VET).

The awards recognise individual excellence at the end of senior secondary schooling. Both general educational excellence and course-specific excellence are recognised.
