The Governor and Ms Annus attended the 2019 Volunteers WA International Volunteer Day Garden Party in the Government House Gardens.
The International Volunteer Day Garden Party is an annual event organised by Volunteering WA on the UN’s International Volunteer Day (external link) to recognise and express appreciation for volunteers across the State. The theme of the 2019 International Volunteer Day was “Volunteer for an inclusive future”.
Volunteering WA (external link) is the peak body for volunteering in Western Australia advancing and promoting volunteering across the State.
The Garden Party originated in 1988 and has taken place in the Government House grounds for the last 30 years, with the exception of a few years missed.
The Governor is a Patron of Volunteering WA and is committed to acknowledging and celebrating the volunteers and community members who contribute so much to all aspects of community life. Governor’s Priorities
