There’s been plenty of activity around Government House in recent weeks with a number of Perth art groups, photography clubs, garden clubs and city workers making the most of our stunning Gardens.
Bursting with an abundance of spring colour the Gardens offer a perfect place to relax on a lunch break, with office workers doing just that during our ‘Lunchtimes in the Gardens’ every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 12pm and 2pm.
If you’re keen to brush up on your knowledge as well why not grab one of our Government House garden brochures on your way in through our gates for some handy information on our history and heritage.
For those with a passion for plants and flowers there’s so much to take in around the 3.2 hectares of gardens, with members from the North Perth Community Garden doing just that today. Led by our talented Government House gardener Claire, the group collected some handy tips and hints about the array of plants you’ll find on site.
The Gardens and House make the perfect backdrop for those with a creative flair and its been great to welcome an array of Plein Air artists and photographers to the Gardens over recent weeks, in search of angles and opportunities to put their skills to the test behind the lens and on canvas.
