The Governor attends the Queens Birthday Dinner hosted by the Loyal Societies of WA

State Congress for RSL and Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday Dinner

The Governor officially opened the RSLWA’s 105th State Congress at ANZAC House Veteran Central, with the 2021 Congress the first to be held in the new ANZAC House since its opening in November 2020.

As Patron of RSLWA the Governor praised the ongoing work of the League in WA and their efforts in the range of services being offered to Veterans and their families at the ANZAC House Veteran Central building in Perth’s CBD.

ANZAC House Veteran Central is a service facility specialising in the wellness and welfare of defence veterans and their families and is the first of its kind in Australia. More information can be found here.

Attended a formal dinner in honour of the Queen’s official 95th birthday celebration

The Governor later joined representatives of the Loyal Societies of WA at a formal dinner to recognise the Queen’s public celebration of her 95th birthday.

Along with former Governor’s The Hon Kerry Sanderson AC, the Hon Dr Ken Michael AC and other special guests the Governor paid tribute to the long life and dedication of the Queen to the Commonwealth.

The Governor is proud to be Patron of a number of members of the Loyal Societies including the Australia-British Society (WA Branch) Inc, the Royal Commonwealth Society Western Australia Branch Inc and the Royal Over-Seas League WA Branch.
