Discussing a more secure Asian region

The morning began with a discussion with the Project 2049 Institute in Arlington, Washington – a group that seeks to guide decision-makers toward a more secure Asia. This non-profit research organisation focuses on filling a gap in the public policy realm with region-specific research on alternative security and policy solutions, with an eye toward educating the public and informing policy debate.

The Governor spoke with representatives from the group about the character of Australian and US relations and how this can be improved upon over the next few years.
