Lunchtimes in the Gardens

The Gardens of Government House are open for the community to enjoy every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 12pm-2pm (except for Public Holidays or otherwise advised).

Even with 3.2 hectares of gardens to share, visitors are still asked to practice good physical distancing when enjoying our ‘Lunchtimes in the Gardens’.

Please note that the Gardens will be closed to the public on 6th October 2022.

Whilst our tours for 2022 are fully booked, expressions of interest are open for 2023 dates. Schools, community groups and not-for-profit organisations are encouraged to submit an expression of interest for consideration by the Office of the Governor.

Guests will learn about the Governor’s role and his personal priorities and, importantly, how the House is being used as a busy working House for community engagement and a place for networking to advance the State’s interests.

We also offer tours of the Gardens, sharing the rich history of one of the various plants, trees and shrubs that fill the land.
