Government House Tours

Expressions of interest are open for tours in 2023.

Schools, community groups and not-for-profit organisations are encouraged to submit an expression of interest for consideration by the Office of the Governor.

During your tour you will learn about the history of the House, the Governor’s role, priorities and how the House is currently being used.

Tour details:

  • Tours are fully guided and are offered on the first Thursday of every month at 9.30am and 10.30am and are approximately 60 minutes in length.
  • Guests will be invited to enjoy light refreshments either before or after the tour (depending on your group’s start time).
  • Tours are free but registration in advance is essential.
  • Minimum group size: 15, Maximum group size: 30.
  • Tours for individuals are not possible at this time.

Please note that:

  • Tours may be cancelled at short notice based on operational requirements. The Office will do our best to reschedule should this occur.
  • The tour contains stairs and steps. Please contact us if you have any queries relating to accessibility.
  • There is no parking on site. Convenient public parking is available next door at either the Perth Council House or Perth Concert Hall.

Once you have registered your interest, a Government House team member will be in touch to advise if your preferred date is available.

  • Your group or organisation’s name
  • A brief overview and background about your group or organisation
  • Preferred tour date and time in accordance with available dates
  • Estimated number of people (min 15, max 30)
  • Main contact details (name, phone and email address)
