Governor experiences best of Collie and meets community representatives during day trip

On Friday 26th June, the Governor conducted a day trip to Collie, only 60 kilometres from the regional port city of Bunbury and 200 kilometres from Perth.

During the visit, the Governor was accompanied by Shire of Collie staff Cr Sarah Stanley, Shire President, and Mr David Blurton, CEO.

“Collie is a transformed town from the years I represented the area in federal politics from 1996 – 1998.

This is a must-visit tourist destination, a long return day trip from Perth or a lovely weekend away.

Great walking/biking trails, history, restaurants and farm stays.”
