Sneak peek: Governor speaks with US actress Kate Walsh about WA’s production appeal in next ‘Conversation at Government House’

The Governor sat down with US actress Kate Walsh this week for the next installment of Conversations at Government House.

Kate is currently based in Perth after her holiday to Australia in March was indefinitely extended due to COVID-19. With extensive experience in acting and producing, she is best known for her roles as Dr Addison Montgomery-Shepherd in Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice, Olivia Baker in 13 Reasons Why, and most recently as The Handler in The Umbrella Academy.

The conversation centered around Kate’s recent advocacy for Perth to have a world-class film and TV studio to capitalise on local talent, the diverse natural landscape and enjoyable climate.

Conversations at Government House

Conversations at Government House is an ongoing series to facilitate discussion on a range of topics of community importance.

The inaugural Conversations at Government House took place on Friday, 25th October 2019 in the Government House Ballroom with an arts and culture focus. The forum welcomed revered stars of the screen and stage, Mr Nicholas Hammond and Ms Robyn Nevin to discuss the significance of telling Australian stories through artistic expression, and their distinguished careers in theatre, film and television. Read more
