Welcoming Plein Air Painters to Government House Gardens

The Governor and Ms Annus welcomed a small group of West Australian Society of the Arts (WASA) Plein Air Painters to the Gardens at Government House today.

Thirty painters spread out around the 3.2 hectares of the Gardens capturing a variety of images, with many featuring Government House as a back drop.

Plein Air painting comes from the French expression ‘en plein air’ which means ‘in the open air’.
