The Hon David Templeman MLA is Minister for Local Government; Heritage; Culture and the Arts. The Hon Ben Wyatt MLA is the WA Treasurer and Minister for Finance; Aboriginal Affairs; Lands. Today signalled the final visit to Government House for EXCO for Minister Wyatt, after last year announcing that he had decided not to contest the state election on March 13 and leaving behind his political career to spend more time with his family. Presiding over Executive Council is one of the key constitutional functions of the role of Governor. The Executive Council is the supreme decision making body of Government and comprises the Governor (as Chair) and all Cabinet Ministers.
