The Honourable Samantha Rowe MLC took part in the Governor’s Youth Democracy Forum at Government House as part of Youth Week WA 2021.
Youth representatives from WA’s five universities attended and heard from key presenters including the Hon Robert French AC, Chancellor of the University of Western Australia, to discuss the emerging challenges to democracy.
The event provided an opportunity for young people to hear about, and contribute to, discussions around a range of topics centering on the future of democracy in Australia and globally.
Samantha speaks frankly about what being a Member of Parliament is about, her experiences to date (both in opposition and government) as well as her thoughts on the impact of the recent landslide election results.
