A behind-the-scenes look today at one of WA’s niche defence technology companies, with the Governor paying a visit to Calytrix Technologies.
Founded in Perth in 2001, Calytrix has grown to become of the biggest providers of simulation training to the Australian Defence Force, as well as working with more than 50 global companies in the development of cutting-edge military simulation and training products.
The Governor received a briefing from company representatives, before some hands-on testing of the defence technology being created.
Meeting with the Australian Strategic Policy Institute
The defence focus continued with the Governor meeting via zoom with representatives from the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI).
The briefing included ASPI’s Head of Northern Australia Strategic Policy Centre Dr John Coyne, and Senior Fellow Northern Australia Strategic Policy Centre Gill Savage. ASPI is an independent think tank that provides advice for Australia’s strategic and defence leaders.
